How did Hari Singh make money though he was not paid by Anil?

Hari Singh did all the market work for Anil.  He would make tea in the morning and then take his time to buy the day's supplies, usually making a profit of about one rupee a day.  He saved money from the things that Anil had bought, he never asked him to account.
