During heavy rain in a village, the rainwater carried the excessive fertilizers to a pond. How will it affect the fish population in the pond in the long run?

Fish population will have negative experience as the algae and plants growing there will not allow adequate sunlight to reach the fishes and sea plant. Algae also uses O2 present in water which reduces its amount in water which leads to death of fishes.
