2. National Highway.(CPWD).
3. State Highway.(SPED)
4. District Roads.(Zila Parishad)
5. Other Road.(PMGSY)
6. Border Roads (BRO).

Roads can be classified on the basis of the of material used for construction.

1. Metaled.
2. Unmetalled.

Road Density- The length of Roads per 100 sq.km is called road density.Idensity.Indias road density is 142.68 KM.
